ASAIL Conference Registration
Registration Information:
Registration for the ASAIL Virtual Conference is free and open to all ASAIL members who have renewed for 2024. We encourage members to consider making a donation to support the costs of this conference. Registration for non-members is $50 for fully employed scholars, $25 for graduate students, postdocs, and contingent faculty, and free for undergraduates and community members. Please contact Laura Furlan (furlan@english.umass.edu) with questions.
Some of the highlights for our two-day event will include:
- Keynote Speaker: Chadwick Allen, author of Earthworks Rising: Moundbuilding in Native Literature and Arts
- Keynote Reader: Deborah A. Miranda (Ohlone-Costanoan Esselen and Chumash), whose books include Altar of Broken Things and Bad Indians
- Featured Panel: readings from the best-selling new fiction anthology Never Whistle at Night: An Indigenous Dark Fiction Anthology, edited by Theodore Van Alst Jr. (enrolled member, Mackinac Bands of Chippewa and Ottawa Indians) and Shane Hawk (enrolled Cheyenne-Arapaho, Hidatsa and Potawatomi descent)
- Announcement of ASAIL Awards
- Virtual Happy Hour
