ACDI/VOCA is a private American nonprofit NGO, with over 40 years of experience providing technical assistance, market development, capacity building, and training in emerging democracies and developing countries. We currently operate in 37 countries, including nine in Africa and the Middle East, carrying out its mission to promote economic opportunities for cooperatives, businesses and communities through the innovative application of sound business practices in four core program areas: enterprise development, financial systems, community development and agribusiness.

ASAIL (Action for Sustainable Agro-Industry in Lebanon) a USAID funded project implemented by ACDI/VOCA in partnership with Vitech Consulting, a Lebanese consulting firm.  ASAIL increases income and employment opportunities within the small ruminant dairy and traditional Lebanese food product value chains by raising the efficiency of input, production, processing and marketing businesses. The project is also strengthening linkages between Northern Lebanon, the Bekaa Valley and Southern Lebanon. Through ASAIL, ACDI/VOCA provides marketing, organizational and business development support to rural farmer groups and small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
